A True Revival

We all want a change in this valley. We all want a revival in this valley. We can not and will not have revival UNTIL we start to mend and heal our OWN sick, defeated, and hurting church. We have to fix the BODY before we can take on a new member or part. Would you want to come to an already ailing body? I surely don't. We as the BODY are supposed to be the light for this dark valley. If we are hurting and not spreading our light, how are we supposed to help others? If I am hurting, alone, and possibly afraid, why do I want to come to place that will just bring me down? I am NOT speaking as one specific church.....I am talking about the WHOLE ENTIRE BODY of Christ.

I had to share this because God has been laying this pretty heavy on my heart lately. Bottom line....We are a hurting nation....We are being lied to and we need to step up and out...Speak the truth!!

It's About Him and Love

God has been pressing upon me for the past few days that it isn't about us. It is about Him and how we are to do EVERYTHING we can to bring Him glory. Imagine, us doing things to bring Him honor. Can we stop being selfish for a minute? When will we stop asking for things from our Father? Yes, He wants to give us ALL his riches but don't you think we should work for them? Were you just handed gifts as a child or did you have to be obedient and listen? It is the same way with our Heavenly Father. Be obedient and listen to what He is calling you to do.

Our number one job is to love others. I know this is difficult at times but do you think that God has an easy job loving us at times? I know there are days where I am not easy to love but He loves me anyway. He loves me when I am selfish, afraid, mean, and angry.  Let us try and look past each others faults and love as Jesus and God loves us!

Letting Go...

As much as it hurts, you must learn to let go of things so God can bring things or people into your life. You feel like your heart is being torn out but you know greater things are on the way. Just trust Him!

Jesus...The Only Way

When you give your heart to the Lord, truly give Him your heart, your sins are forgiven. Your old self is washed away by the blood of the Lamb. Once you have been cleansed, why do you want to go back to your old self? Once you understand how He suffered for YOU, you don't want to be a part of this world. You want to do anything and everything to bring Him glory, honor, and praise.

As we enter this special time, I want you to realize the love Jesus has for YOU. How He suffered, was beaten to death for YOUR sins. I don't think any of us could have done what He did for generations and generations to come. I can't even comprehend that love He has for me.

Since He gave His life for me, I think the very least I can do....is do my very best to live my life without sin. I know it won't be easy but considering He chose death for MY sins, I should be able to handle the small things in my life.

Take time this week to reflect on the pain that Jesus endured and I am asking you to give your heart to Him. He can cleanse you and make you free again. It will be the best choice you will ever make in your life.

Trust and A Little Faith

Do you trust God? Do you REALLY trust Him? Have you put your faith in Him? Are you still holding onto your current situation or have you released it to Him?

If you haven't released it or turned it over, what are you waiting for? And if you haven't released it, then you don't trust Him. You must trust Him enough to let go and let God do His job. Let go and have your faith carry you through on your journey.

I want you to be free of your burdens, struggles, and your sadness....Just like Jesus. Jesus wants you to be free.

Cast your cares upon Him, for He cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7

Start now and let go...Ask God for guidance...Stay in His word, and listen when He speaks

Beauty

Beauty is what on the inside and not an outward appearance. I wish women along with men would grasp this concept and of course, the media.

True beauty comes from within....
It is the words you speak...
It is how you carry yourself...
It is how you treat others...

It is not about looking a certain way...
It is not about being a certain size....
It is not about a certain hair or eye color...

Embrace who you are because you are beautiful!!

Prayer for Compassion

Where is our compassion, Oh Lord?
When did we become so selfish?
We turn our backs so easily in the less fortunate.
Don't we realize what we are doing to each other?

We are a hurting nation...Spiritually...Physically..Mentally

Our eyes, minds and most importantly are hearts so be focused on you, Father God...NOT ourselves, NOT the government, and NOT others, BUT simply YOU!

We have pushed you away just like we are pushing away the homeless, the heartbroken, the drug users, the blind, and deaf, and anyone less fortunate than us.

When will we stop?! What will it take for us as a nation to stop pushing you away and our fellow man?

Help us oh Lord come back to you. Help us to become more compassionate and caring. Don't let us continue on the selfish path we are on.

Revival

This community needs a revival of compassion..Didn't Jesus show compassion to everyone He met?

How are we going to reach people if we don't talk, listen, and get know them?

Do we think if we ignore the problem and the person, it will go away? No, we were and are created to do something and to take action.

Is the homeless going to go away if we simply turn our backs? How about the lonely and the broken? I am sure if we close our eyes and turn off our ears, we won't be able to see them cry. And we can continue to go on about our a day and not worry about them.

When did we become so selfish and not have any compassion? We need to wake up and start caring and loving each other. We were made to love...not hate!  Let the change start with you! :)
