Our Children and Youth

I have been thinking a lot lately about our Children and youth. Do you remember how hard high school was? Imagine how much harder it is now with the advancements of technology, single parent homes, and grandparents raising their grandchildren.

Times are changing and they are becoming harder and tougher on all of us especially the children.  Classes and school have become harder, parents are less involved, cutting and other self destructive behaviors are on the rise and don't forget about the drugs and alcohol.

Our kids need us now more than ever before. They need love, understanding, and support. These are the formative years and will have a huge impact on how these boys and girls view themselves.  If a child gets little to no respect, chances are they will have no self worth as an adult.  If a child is called stupid, fat, lazy, or dumb, again, their self worth is crushed.  Imagine how great a child would feel if they were told daily how special they were and that they can achieve ANYTHING they set their minds to.

Let's praise our children and stop putting them down. Love on your kids and hug them! We as adults are far from perfect. Let's stop expecting our kids to be perfect too.
